Club Mission for 2008:
Mentoring Motion in Martinsville & Beyond!
Founded in 2006, The Henry County Bike Club was formed by local riders to encourage friendship, fun & fuel-efficient fitness. Initially, we began serving Road Bikers. With the beginning of 2008, we are now hosting mountain bike rides.
Our list of those interested has now grown to over 125! Newly incorporated, our members volunteer their time & muscle alongside other area organizations to assist in developing safer streets as well as trail systems for use by all. Infrastructure is necessary to encourage more to move towards fitness. Our motto is: "Ride them - don't drive them!"

Trail building continues each month at Philpott Lake and also in the Chatmoss area. If you are interested in multi-use or mountain biking trails, we could use your help. Contact us for further details. These are for the whole community to enjoy.

Lunch on "The Run"
Every Tuesday & Thursday in Uptown Martinsville, join the HCBC during 30 minutes of your lunch hour to walk/jog or bike in the Uptown area.
Our members lead two groups. Leave from the Farmers market at either 12:05 or 1:05. Don't forget to bring your tennis shoes and before you head back to work, stop by the Daily Grind, Art's Etc. or Tasty Crème for a discount on a special lunch. Just tell them you are part of the Lunch on "The Run" program!
In addition, all participants receive a ticket each time they walk/bike for a quarterly giveaway sponsored by Activate M/HC!! Must be present with ticket to win. We gave a bike away in May and our next drawing is Tuesday, August 5th!
